I tried to pray to Thee in different languages:
The languages of the Greeks, the Arabs, and the English.
But my words came out hollow and cold,
Until I prayed in the language of my people,
I sighed from the depth of my soul as I cried out in the best way I could:
“Nai nie, Isous Pixristos, o’woh nai nie.”
And I felt Antoni and Makari,
Pachom and Shenouti,
Cry out with me.
And as I was connected to Thine sacred name,
I got into Thine essence,
And all my problems suddenly ceased.
